Frequently Asked Questions

Q1:  I have recently moved to the area. How do I go about registering my child for a soccer program?
A1: Review our "Start Here" page for an overview of our club and programs.  For additional information please reach out to the respective program contacts listed on the Club Directory.

Q2: My child is not U9 yet but I'd like to prepare him/her for travel or premier. What additional program does the club offer?

A2: The club offers the Legacy Futures program for U7 and U8 players. It consists of 2 practices each week, along with weekend games/festivals, and runs for about 10 weeks in Spring and in Fall, plus Winter training. For further info, see the Legacy Futures Page.

Q3:  My child has been playing in Legacy Development (formerly Total Soccer) for a while and we are wondering whether moving to Legacy Premier would mean a lot of additional commitment.
A3: Each season the Legacy teams play home and away games. Travel to the away games is usually 30 minutes, max 1 hour. More information is available on the Legacy Premier tab on the website.

Q4: In which leagues do the teams play?
A4: Premier teams play in the EDP league, www.edpsoccer.com.  Recreational teams play only in town against other players from the our general serving area.

Q5: How can parents get involved, what volunteer opportunities exist?
A5: Parents can also assist during tryouts and special events. For those interested in shaping the direction of the club, there are positions on the board of trustees. Contact appropriate program director as per the CONTACT US tab on the website to determine next step and get engaged.  Please also reference the GET INVOLVED tab on our website for additional roles.

Q6: Who should you contact if you have a question not answered here?
A6: Start by contacting your respective coach. After that and those not part of a team, contact the appropriate program director as per the CONTACT US page for further assistance.

Q7: Who can I contact to escalate an issue not resolved by program director?
A7: If you have contacted the program director and they have have not resolved your issue.  Please contact the FC Berna President at [email protected] for additional assistance.

Q8: Who can I contact to escalate an issue outside of the board?
A8: If you have contacted the program director, board member and/or president or if you want to submit a confidential issue. Please contact our Club Coordinator: Kim Lindsey, [email protected].

Q9: My child is entering High School, what will happen to the teams?
A9: We recognize and understand that High School sports are as much a social event as they are a sports event. For those part of a Legacy team - we encourage our players to tryout for their respective High School soccer teams.  High School soccer is traditionally a fall only sport.  So our Legacy program for High School players typically starts after High School soccer is over - in November. Please reference "Tryouts" section of our website for exact dates and times of High School aged player tryouts.

Q10: How do I update my credit card information in the registration system?
A10: You can update your credit card information for future payment dates by logging into your account and clicking the Edit CC info option next to a future payment date. This can be found under Open Orders in the bottom right corner of your My Account page.
