Winter Training COVID Protocols and FAQ

Based upon the record number of infections and "breakthrough" cases, the guidelines below apply to both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, including boosters. Please remember these are FC Berna-Legacy Club policies only. We do not provide guidance for any other activities, including school.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures
Please drop your child off for practice outside the building doors no more than 2-3 minutes before scheduled practice start time. Wait with your son/daughter until the coach comes to meet the group and walk them into the gym.Pick-up will be outside the building at the end of scheduled practice. Please be at the gym 2-3 minutes beforehand to meet the coach as they bring the players out. Promptness is important to keep the groups on schedule for their practice times.

Masks
Masks should be worn by all players when walking to/from the gym and when not actively participating in soccer activity. Players wearing masks during active practice is optional.

Spectators
None of our winter facilities are permitting spectators into their buildings. Unfortunately we cannot allow parents to spectate during this winter session.

COVID/Exposure to someone with COVID
At times during this winter we have to face the possibility of one of our participants returning a positive COVID test result. As such, our club policy is below.

-Any player returning a positive test result must withdraw from all Legacy soccer activities for a period of 10 days from the date of the positive test.

-Players "exposed" to a teammate returning a positive test can return to play based upon the following:
You do not need to quarantine if exposed to COVID-19 and are up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations. Monitor for symptoms until 10 days after the date of exposure. It is recommended (but not required) players who were directly exposed as a close contact get tested at least 5 days after last contact even not develop symptoms. If the player exposed develops symptoms, isolate immediately and until known test results.

-If already had a positive COVID test result in the last 90 days and greater than 10 days, the player does not need to quarantine or submit a negative test result.

The health and safety of our players and coaches is our top priority. By following the above guidelines, we hope to accomplish that while keeping things as "normal" as possible for our players. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
