Used Soccer Gear Drive
Do you have extra or outgrown soccer cleats/shoes?
We assume many players across the club experience this, especially in preparation for the new season. Instead of taking up space or disposing of them, wouldn't it be great to give them to someone less fortunate? That is what Alexis Georgiades, one of our 2004 Legacy Girls team members has thought as well. Alexis has recently launched a used soccer gear collection drive named “Soccer-Gear-4-Kids” (SG4K), to donate such extra gear to a charitable cause. We will collect, organize and distribute pre-owned outdoor soccer cleats and indoor soccer shoes to those in need, to further support philanthropy efforts in our community. They will be distributed around the globe to places with soccer clubs in need: local towns across NJ/NY and even other countries, such as Africa and the Philippines.
What can be donated?
We are collecting only outdoor soccer cleats and indoor soccer shoes at this time. “Gently used” is ideal, and we also welcome new purchases as donations.
How can you donate?
It's easy! SG4K donation bins will be placed at Mountain Park and Pleasant Valley Park once the Spring 2020 season begins. Simply bring any donations to your game and drop in the designated bins!
